Delegate Delaney focuses on providing accessibility to information and services available to veterans in Virginia.

(RICHMOND, VA) HB 411, introduced by Delegate Karrie Delaney (D-Chantilly), has passed the House of Delegates. The bill requires that the Department of Motorized Vehicles offer information on veterans services that are available in the Commonwealth to those who identify as a veteran on a document that is submitted to the DMV.

“Virginia is home to many individuals who have proudly served our country,'' said Del. Delaney, “It is our responsibility to insure that they have the opportunity to learn about the veterans services that the Commonwealth has to offer.”

Passage of House Bill 411 makes information on resources available for veterans easier to access. As the Commonwealth welcomes home more veterans, it is imperative that they be provided with information on the services they are entitled to as they re-enter civilian life and begin contributing to our local economies.
