Delaney Outraises All Candidates in Virginia's 67th House District for 2nd Straight Reporting Period

Grassroots support helps Delaney maintain strong momentum with over $60,000 cash on hand

CHANTILLY, Va. -- For the 2nd straight report, community leader Karrie Delaney led all candidates in fundraising in the race for Virginia's 67th District, including Republican incumbent, Jim LeMunyon. Delaney's campaign announced today that it has raised $58,932.23 and has $60,163.98 cash on hand for the 2nd reporting period of 2017, which covers April 1st to June 1st. 

“We're thrilled that the people of Virginia's 67th District are responding to our commitment to fight for our fair share of education funding, comprehensive transportation solutions, innovative economic growth, and health care for all," said Delaney. "Our grassroots campaign has already received donations from over 1,100 people, and we continue to see new folks contribute everyday. The people of Virginia's 67th are ready for a change and are eager to elect a representative who will make Richmond work for them."

Karrie started working at a group home for foster children - an experience where she learned how policy decisions can either serve or fail our most vulnerable. Later, as a crisis counselor, Karrie stood by women who were assaulted and raised awareness about the abuse of women around the world. When Karrie became a mother, she turned her focus towards local issues as Gov. McAuliffe's appointee to the Virginia Commission on Youth, as well as former Chair of Fairfax County Citizens Corps Council and the current Chair of Fairfax County Library Board of Trustees. She lives in Chantilly with her husband, Patrick, and their two children.
